The strategic document will mark the municipal youth policies for the next five years and bet on participation, emancipation and youth welfare.
The City Council of Calonge and Sant Antoni has unanimously approved the new Local Youth Plan 2026-2030, a document that will define the lines of municipal action aimed at the young population in the coming years. The agreement was formalized at the last municipal meeting and represents a key tool for adapting public policies to the current needs of young people in the municipality.
The plan has been drawn up based on a participatory process that has had the involvement of young people, entities, educational centers and professionals from various fields. This methodology has made it possible to identify the main concerns and challenges faced by local youth, especially in aspects such as access to housing, job placement, emotional health, training and social participation.
The council emphasizes that the main objective is to generate more opportunities for young people to develop their life project in the municipality, strengthening existing services and promoting new initiatives adapted to today's reality. The plan also includes specific actions to encourage youth associations, participation in public life and the promotion of healthy habits.
With this approval, Calonge and Sant Antoni consolidates a line of work started more than a decade ago and reaffirms its desire to place youth policies as a strategic priority within municipal action.
